I got this as an additional appetiser out of the course set menu because i was craving it□ but I might not recommend getting this unless you are craving for it cause it just tastes like any other another truffle fries with what i think is truffle mayo at the side. The har cheong gai tastes very local (as the name suggest), it almost feels like a more atas version of popcorn chicken with caviar and goji jam topped on each individual chicken bites. The cold angel hair tastes refreshing and acts as a good appetiser before our mains as it has a slight hint of vinegar. This dish has trout ikura, tobiko and beluga caviar, so i thought is was really worth to top-up an extra $5 to enjoy 3 different types of roes in a single dish. A dish on the normal menu costs abt $20-30 so I thought the lunch set provides the most value for money for someone who wants to experience semi-fine dining without having it to cost a bomb! I went with my bf and we ordered a 2-course and a 3-course set. Their interior is rlly modern n has a tiffany blue kind of aesthetic which is great for taking photos. Despite this, VENUS exudes a calm and soothing vibe which is a great break from the fast paced and busy environment.
